Photography

Amateur photographer – that’s me! For my 38th birthday, the hubby got me a Sony mirrorless camera because he kept hearing me talk about how much I loved to take pictures and how I needed a professional camera. As I explored the features and settings, I realized how lost and clueless I was and had no idea of the capacity of this camera. I decided to take a 3 hour photography course and I learned the basics. We shot pictures at the Chicago Garfield Conservatory and I was in heaven.  The sound of the shutter is rather therapeutic. I am fascinated by photography and find a great deal of satisfaction viewing images with stories told from the perspective of a photographer.  I decided that I wanted to tell stories through my own lens.

For many years I have admired the gift of creativty that others posess and find myself in profound awe.  Creativity is not something innate for me, but I am drawn to it.  I have given myself permission to explore, avoid self-judgement and go with it…. I love nature, flowers, and beautiful colors… below are a few images that I snapped that just make me smile…
